You should see one of these messages:
✅ “Successfully added 1 device” – Connection successful!
❌ “Device not found” or timeout – Try AP Mode (see below)
Method 2: AP Mode (Advanced Mode)
Use AP Mode if Easy Mode fails or if you prefer manual connection. AP Mode Step-by-Step :

Step 2: Connect Mobile Phone to Device's WiFi Network
The smart switch broadcasts its own temporary WiFi network:
① Go to your phone’s WiFi settings
② Look for a network named: “SmartLife_XXXX” (where XXXX are random characters)
③ Select this network
④ When prompted for password: Leave blank or enter “12345678”
⑤ Connect to this temporary network
⑥ You may see a warning that this network has no internet – This is normal and expected
Step 3: Return to Smart Life App
① Do NOT close the Smart Life app
② The app may have automatically advanced to “AP Mode” selection
③ If not, manually select “AP Mode” from the menu
Step 4: Configure WiFi Network in App
① In the Smart Life app, select your actual home WiFi network (2.4 GHz)
② Enter your WiFi password
③ Tap “Connect Now” or “Confirm”
The app will instruct you to go back to phone WiFi settings (keep the temporary SmartLife network still selected).
Step 5: Complete the Connection
① Once confirmed in the app, the device will disconnect from the temporary network and connect to your home WiFi
② Your phone will automatically reconnect to your home WiFi network
④ Wait for the app to display: “Successfully added 1 device”
The smart switch’s indicator light should now be solid (no blinking), indicating successful connection.
